Controller-Free Gaming

One thing that has kept gamers from total immersion in their video games is the controller.  Think about the Wii.  Those controllers can be very difficult to handle.  Some have broken televisions and some have hit other people in various body parts.  In 2009, Microsoft demonstrated a technology, code-named Project Natal, that enables players to control games using only body movements and voice commands and there is no controller required.  This uses special and numerous cameras and microphones.  It also uses very specialized software that can track the body movements.  I think that this is a very cool invention that could be really fun.  However, it seems like it could break easily or not work.  I bet it is also very expensive.  This is something i can see my kids using in the future.  We have come a long way from nintendo 64!
